I recently came across this site that listed 15 tools to help you monitor your website’s popularity online.  Some of the tools will help you discover the number of backlinks, unique visitors, traffic, site demographics, website worth etc.  Most of the data provided is just estimates, so don’t go crazy by checking your site stats every day.
