New Component to encrypt data traveling at 100Gbps
According to new research, New optical network component has been developed that is able to encrypt data traveling at 100G bps (bits per second). The component will allow carriers and large enterprises to secure all the data that travels over a high-speed WAN (wide-area network) connection. The optical encryption works differently when compared to electronic encryption system but it can provide same level of encryption strength. The coder for encrypting date has successfully encrypted and decrypted traffic traveling at 40 Gbps connection over a distance of 248 miles. In lab, the coder has demonstrated the same over a 100 Gbps connection.
